The Coronavirus outbreak brought unprecedented challenges for Pakistan. The challenges included weak health infrastructure and shortage of PPEs and misinformation among masses.
Relief Activities by PDN
Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar founded Punjab Development Network- an umbrella organization that provided ration to 2 Million families that were affected by COVID19. PPEs, Sanitizers, Soaps were also provided to healthcare staff and prisoners.
Telemedicine Centre
Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar launched Telemedicine Centre at various medical universities and hospitals across Punjab including King Edward Medical University (KEMU) shortly after the Coronavirus outbreak in Pakistan to take the burden off hospitals.
